As a Cook, you'll help shape the experience our residents look forward to every day-mealtime. You'll prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals that respect dietary needs and personal preferences, while also creating a warm and welcoming dining environment.* --What You'll DoFood Preparation & Culinary ExcellencePrepare daily meals and snacks in alignment with approved menus, nutrition guidelines, and resident-specific diets (including allergies and medical restrictions)Present meals in an appealing, restaurant-style way that enhances appetite and dignityEnsure meals are served on schedule and with care-hot food hot, cold food coldProvide for individual needs by supporting independence with adaptive utensils or portion changesAssist in the planning and preparation of food for special events or themed mealsInventory, Sanitation & Kitchen ManagementMonitor food and supply inventory; report needs to the Food Service DirectorAssist with receiving and rotating stock, ensuring first-in/first-out storageMaintain clean, organized, and compliant kitchen and food storage areasPromptly report equipment or safety issues to leadershipFollow all food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with OSHA and state regulationsResident Engagement & TeamworkEngage with residents to receive feedback and foster a sense of hospitalityCoordinate with care staff to ensure special dietary instructions are followedSupport a collaborative kitchen and dining team environmentAssist other food service team members as needed, including light cleaning or service tasks--What You BringPrevious experience in a commercial kitchen, senior living, healthcare, or hospitality setting preferredA genuine respect and compassion for older adultsAbility to follow recipes, dietary guidelines, and safety protocolsStrong organizational and time management skillsServSafe certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)Ability to stand, lift, and carry in a fast-paced kitchen environment--Why Legacy?We believe in serving with honor, building careers with purpose, and creating environments where both residents and employees feel at home.You'll receive:Competitive pay + consistent schedulingFull benefits (medical, dental, vision, life)PTO and holiday payEmployee meals and uniforms401(k) with company matchSupportive team and a respectful, mission-driven workplace--Feed the Body.
