Engineer/Estimator

About the CompanyPlymouth Spring Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer / Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong engineering background and experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment, preferably metal or spring manufacturing.About the RoleThis role involves preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations based on customer drawings, specifications, and requirements.ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate cost estimates and quotations based on customer drawings, specifications, and requirementsAnalyze materials, labor, tooling, and production processes to determine pricingCollaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to ensure feasible and competitive bidsReview customer RFQs and technical documentationAssist with process improvement, cost reduction initiatives, and engineering support as neededMaintain estimating databases and documentation QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experienceExperience in estimating and/or manufacturing engineering (spring or metal fabrication experience a plus)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsStrong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systemsExcellent communication and organizational skills Required SkillsStrong engineering backgroundExperience in cost estimatingDetail-oriented Preferred SkillsExperience in metal or spring manufacturing Pay range and compensation packageCompetitive salary based on experienceBenefits package (health, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.)Stable, growing company with long-term opportunitiesCollaborative and hands-on work environment Equal Opportunity StatementPlymouth Spring Company is committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
