Accounting Leader (AP / AR Supervisor Focus)Role Summary The Accounting Leader oversees Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring accurate, timely processing and compliance with GAAP and company policies. This role manages and develops AP/AR teams, strengthens internal controls, and supports month-end close, reporting, and financial analysis within a manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with GAAP and internal policies.Oversee AP/AR subledger integrity, reconciliations, and reporting; resolve discrepancies and drive process improvements.Develop, implement, and maintain AP/AR systems, policies, procedures, and internal controls.Manage staff selection, performance, training, and professional development to meet departmental goals.Perform analysis of AP/AR processes, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.Support month-end and year-end close, audits, and required governmental or financial reporting.Collaborate regularly with departmental leaders, controllers, and accounting staff.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as assigned.Ensure compliance with corporate accounting objectives and systems.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or related field.5+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience, preferably in manufacturing.2–3+ years of AP/AR supervisory or people management experience.Aerospace manufacturing experience required.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting.Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop accounting teams.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office and accounting systems.
