Lead Teacher

Site Lead – Sylvan Learning of Grandville and Rockford A sister site of Sylvan Learning of Grand Rapids We’re seeking a dependable and compassionate Site Lead to support daily operations and create a welcoming, efficient environment for students, families, and staff. Key Responsibilities Open and prepare the center for instruction (print schedules, check supplies, assist instructors) Greet families and ensure sessions run smoothly and on time Communicate clearly and empathetically with parents and act as liaison to the Center Director Support student onboarding: assessments, appointments, and enrollment coordination Collect payments/forms and relay info to the Center Director Follow closing procedures (lights, locks, etc.) What We’re Looking For A positive, adaptable team player who builds rapport with students and can respond calmly and effectively to daily challenges. Qualifications (one of the following required): Enrolled in an alternative teacher certification program Teaching experience (private school, college, or similar) College sophomore or above in an education program Bachelor’s degree (Teaching certification preferred, not required) Details Hours: Mon/Wed 2:30–7:30 PM Grandville location, Tues/Thurs 2:30-7:30PM Rockford location *Ideally the same candidate would work both locations, we will accept candidates for one location.* Pay: $17/hour If you’re organized, student-focused, and ready to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
