This role drives technical rigor across test planning, execution, analysis, and continuous improvement while influencing engineering decisions through data-driven recommendations.Working cross-functionally, the engineer ensures acoustic testing activities are delivered on time, on quality, and on budget, contributing directly to successful program outcomes and operational readiness.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesMission Execution & Technical Ownership\nDesign, plan, and execute acoustic test programs supporting product development, validation, and qualification activities.\nDevelop innovative solutions to complex acoustic and vibration-related engineering challenges.\nTranslate mission and program requirements into effective acoustic test methodologies and measurable outcomes.\nAnalyze acoustic data to identify performance risks, failure modes, and improvement opportunities.\nDeliver technically sound recommendations that influence engineering and program decisions.\n\nEngineering Excellence\nDevelop and refine acoustic test processes, methodologies, and best practices to improve team capability and efficiency.\nEnsure testing aligns with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements.\nMaintain technical currency with emerging acoustic technologies, tools, and industry standards.\nSupport root-cause investigations and performance verification efforts.\n\nCollaboration & Influence\nPartner with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate acoustic testing into broader system verification strategies.\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.\nCommunicate complex technical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nInfluence project direction through expert technical consultation.\n\nProgram Delivery\nEstimate and plan engineering work packages, identifying risks, dependencies, and resource needs.\nSupport schedule and cost performance by proactively managing technical scope.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance test efficiency and mission readiness.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Acoustical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline.\n9+ years' experience in acoustic testing, measurement systems, signal analysis, or related engineering environments with 1+ years in a leadership role.\nKnowledge of acoustic instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and analysis tools.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated technical ownership.\nAbility to operate effectively in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.\nMay be required to maintain security clearance(Note: US Security Clearances are only granted to US Citizens)\n\nSuccess ProfileSuccessful Acoustic Test Engineers demonstrate:\nOwnership mindset and mission accountability\nData-driven decision making\nTechnical curiosity and continuous learning\nClear communication and cross-team influence\nCommitment to safety, quality, and engineering integrity\n#LI-KP1#LI-OnsiteExpected Compensation: The expected compensation range for this role is$163,176.00 - $203,944.00. Please note this represents the expected range.
