Daily Tasks and Support Work Measure, cut, and thread PVC, PEX, copper, and cast-iron pipes. Hand tools and pass equipment to the lead plumber. Clear clogged drains and locate the source of water leaks. Install basic fixtures like sinks, toilets, and water heaters under supervision. Load, unload, and transport tools and materials to and from job sites. Maintenance and Site Safety Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe. Follow strict safety rules and wear protective gear. Help prepare cost estimates and talk with clients to answer simple questions. Complete required classroom instruction and training hours for licensing.
