We are seeking dedicated individuals who are passionate about promoting mental wellness and providing support to teenagers and their families facing dynamic challenges back at home.As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe and supportive environment for our clients to grow, develop and apply transferable coping skills, and reconnect with peers, themselves, and their families using our proven and effective therapeutic approach.If you are empathetic, patient, and committed to empowering others on their journey towards sustainable mental wellness, we encourage you to apply and become part of our dynamic team dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of teenagers and their families!ResponsibilitiesEnsure Client SafetySupervision of client emotional and physical safetyProvide early intervention ahead of and during emotional and behavioral crisesMaintain personal and professional boundariesAlign and Operate within the Treatment Team's Approach for Each ClientAttend to daily Treatment Team direction for updates on client treatment protocol applicationCommunicate and collaborate with supervisors and clinicians regarding client issues and notable progressDocument client progress notes dailyProvide Quality and Engaging Client ServicesEncourage client engagement in activities of daily living (ADLs) and coping skill applicationsCoach and develop client social skillsPlan and facilitate client activities in art, music, yoga, fitness, and a variety of other on and off campus activitiesGrow and Develop with the Residential Team!Practice a growth mindset with focus and application of the company core valuesIntegrate specialized trainingsEnjoy and contribute to ongoing professional development and growthQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work or related field preferred, but not required.21+ years of age or olderAble to pass pre-employment drug screenAble to pass criminal investigation background checkCurrent driver's license requiredEMT/CNA background preferredAbility to effectively communicate and build healthy relationships.Ability to set and teach positive valuesAbility to perform CPR and First-Aid.Ability to safely hold or restrain an upset or combative studentSkill in de-escalating agitated students.Preferred - One year of experience in a residential setting using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities.Ability to plan, implement, and adjust to plans accordinglyEmbark is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
