Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, hospitality-driven Bar & Events Manager to lead daily bar operations while overseeing the planning and execution of both club and outside events. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys bartending, managing people, and creating memorable experiences for members, clients, and guests.
The Bar & Events Manager will work closely with the General Manager and serve as a closing Manager on Duty, ensuring smooth operations, exceptional service standards, and a welcoming atmosphere. This role also plays a key part in driving revenue through strategic event planning, marketing, and upselling initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Bar Operations & Management
Bartend regularly while overseeing bar service standards and guest experience
Act as closing Manager on Duty, ensuring proper close-down procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar environment
Manage bar ordering, inventory control, and cost efficiency
Uphold all safety, alcohol service, licensing, and club policies
Events Planning & Execution
Plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of events including club events, outside events, weddings, corporate functions, banquets, and private parties
Collaborate with clients to understand event needs and provide tailored solutions
Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown while ensuring quality standards are met
Monitor guest feedback post-event to improve future offerings
Staff Leadership & Scheduling
Train, develop, and supervise bartenders, servers, and event staff
Create and manage staff schedules for bar service and events
Lead by example to promote professionalism, teamwork, and service excellence
Marketing, Sales & Revenue Growth
Maintain and manage the venue’s social media accounts
Promote bar specials, club programming, and upcoming events
Implement event marketing strategies to maximize attendance and venue utilization
Upsell food, beverage packages, and additional services to enhance revenue
Assist with creative initiatives to increase engagement and repeat business
Administration & Organization
Maintain organized records for bookings, contracts, inventory, and financial transactions
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless operations
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience in bar management, hospitality management, or event planning
Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities
Comfortable bartending and working flexible hours, including nights and weekends
Experience with staff training, scheduling, and supervision
Knowledge of bar ordering, inventory control, and cost management
Demonstrated ability to upsell products or services to increase revenue
Event marketing or social media management experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
