Job TitleHuman Resources RepresentativePosition OverviewShaw Industries is looking for a skilled HR Representative to support day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with employees, supervisors, and managers to promote a positive workplace culture, ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, and provide support for HR initiatives related to recruitment and hiring, onboarding, employee relations, training, benefits/compensation administration, and enforcement of Shaw policies and procedures.Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, and is a global leader in delivering carpet, hardwood, tile & stone, laminate, synthetic turf, and other specialty products to residential and commercial markets worldwide. Essential DutiesServe as a primary point of contact for hourly employees regarding HR-related inquiries, policies, and proceduresSupport hourly recruitment efforts, including posting jobs, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and onboardingFacilitate new hire orientation related to benefits and data entry of confidential personnel information within the Workday HRIS system. Post and manage internal and external job postings and recruiting efforts Track LOA and manage return to work Track Workers’ Comp cases to maintain and update the Accommodation LogMaintain the headcount planning spreadsheet for the facility Responsible for HR Communication for the facility Provide data and update spreadsheets as needed Coordinate employee engagement events as needed Responsible for purchasing for the HR department Coordinate with Corporate groups (Total Rewards, Payroll, etc.) to support employee needs. Manage and maintain personnel files and assist with compliance-related documentation (e.g., I-9s, EEO, FMLA, ADA, etc.)Active member of the Awareness & Recognition Committee. Perform other functions as requested. QualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. 1-2 years of experience working in Human Resources required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport at all levelsMust have strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends. Familiar with ADA, FMLA, EEO, AAP, and OSHA. PHR Certification preferred.
