Design, development, testing activitiesSupporting the full life cycle of development processes for creating servicesInvestigating and resolve complex business and technical product integration matters of significanceFocusing on a specific product or family of technologies in multiple platformsFunctioning independently within a business area and assists at the enterprise level to influence the technical decisions during various phases of the project.Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents programs:C on Unix and LinuxOracle, SQL and PL/SQL.Healthcare IT Systems - ClaimsBatch job automation and notification servicesComplex SQL development and query tuningAssists in the modification of company products and/or customer/internal systems to meet the needs of the client and/or end-user.Gathers information from the system, analyses program and time requirements, and prepares documentation to change existing programs.Research and analysis of existing systems and program requirements, under periodic supervision.Designs programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.Writes specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.Assists in resolving production support problems.Develops and suggests alternative approaches to resolving problems.Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs. Identifies issues as appropriate.Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.Conducts quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.What we're looking for6+ years of application development and batch programming in a C, Unix, Linux and Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL) environmentHealthcare IT systems (Claims and/or MMIS, Medicaid Management Information System) experience is highly desiredExpertise in batch job automation and notification servicesComplex SQL development and query tuning expertiseWhat you should expect in this roleFully remote opportunity with the option to work anywhere within the United StatesOpportunities to travel through your work (0-10%)Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as requiredVideo cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientationThis posting is intended for pipelining. We will accept applications on an ongoing basis.The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
