Occupational Therapist

Evolve Healthcare Inc. is hiring for an Occupational Therapist (OT) in the Merced CA area for an immediate opening. As an OT you will provide 8-hour day shifts. This is a 40/hours guaranteed per week if OT is available to provide full time hours. Part time is also available if you are not able to provide on a full-time basis. For a 13–26-week assignment with possibility for extension. Tentative Start Date Flexible! Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: Interviews patients and evaluates their physical condition. Provides a full range of occupational or physical therapy for neuromuscular, orthopedically, and physically disabled children that may require highly specialized skills and knowledge. Reviews clinical records, medical prescriptions, and physician referrals to develop treatment plans. Observes patient reactions and notes changes; adopts and applies treatment procedures. Instructs aides, assistants, family members and patients in the proper use of wheelchairs, crutches, canes, braces, prosthetic appliances, and devices; devises or adapts equipment as required. May consult with school staff, medical personnel, and vendors for coordination of services. May provide Targeted Case Management services and engage in outreach and other activities to enhance services to Medi-Cal beneficiaries. Minimum Qualifications One (1) full year of experience as a Professional Occupational or Physical Therapist. Possession of a valid license as an Occupational or Physical Therapist issued by the State of California. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Operate a personal computer and other office equipment. Communicate effectively with others in person and over the telephone. Analyze data, interpret directions, procedures, and regulations, and develop appropriate responses.
