This job was posted by https://www.kansasworks.com : For moreinformation, please see: https://www.kansasworks.com/jobs/13567722Job SummaryUnder Supervision, this position will be required to perform a varietyof general tasks including grinding, blasting, cleaning and wide-rangingshop needs.ESSENTIAL DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner and complieswith company policies. Determine the uses of personal protective equipment (PPE); identifythe safety equipment and procedures related to safe work practicesand surrounding environment. Able to complete work using the MRP Network. Loads and unloads materials, parts, or products onto or frompallets, skids, conveyors, or trucks manually or using a forklift. Use the MRP system to clock in and out of jobs upon set-up andcompletion. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. May remove burrs or excess metal from machined parts, using files,sandpaper, emery cloth, or grinding tools. Adds coolant to reservoirs of machines and lubricates machine partsand ways, using grease gun and oilcan. Reclaims cutting and lubricating oils from machines by pumping oilfrom machine reservoir into barrel, dumping oil from barrel intoseparator that removes metal chips and dirt from oil, and drainsclean oil from separator into containers. Removes metal chips and shavings from surfaces of machines, usingrag or air hose and wipes surfaces of machines with rag to removeexcess oil and coolant residue. Cleans around work areas, using broom and shovel. Separates metalshavings, chips, and scrap materials from trash and places them inbins for resale. Changes filters on all equipment and HVAC units. General knowledge of R-Techs staging locations for parts in process,as well as finished parts. Perform other duties as assigned by SupervisorNote May periodically be asked to work in other areas of the shopdepending on production demand/flow
