Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community. Supports scheduling to ensure each patient meets the plan of care agreed upon by the patient and referring physician, adjusting schedules as needed. Performs evaluations and re-evaluations according to standards and recommended techniques. Establishes, implements, and adapts individualized treatment plans including goal setting, treatment activities, and frequency. Other duties as assigned. Identifies the need for patient and caregiver education and utilizes each opportunity for teaching, documenting education and understanding as appropriate. Discharges patients when maximum benefit has been achieved or according to standards of practice and payer guidelines. Documents accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology following standards of practice, insurance guidelines, and department policies. Charges patients accurately, timely, and legibly according to CPT code format, price file, and insurance guidelines. Maintains productivity standards as defined by the department, through effective time management and clinical efficiency and adjusts work hours to meet the needs of the patients as required. Promotes a collaborative and supportive environment by serving as a mentor and positive role model for clinical staff and students, fostering professional growth, teamwork, and clinical excellence through evidence-based practice and Engaging in autonomous and collaborative participation in research, journal club/reviews, and clinical practice education within a peer group. Practices principles of professional development and performance improvements by maintaining clinical knowledge, using best and or evidence-based practices, and serving as a Clinical instructor. Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports departmental quality standards and initiatives. Practices principles of employee and patient safety during daily job activities. Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAdvanced clinical competency of discipline-specific practice, theory, principles, and application [Required] Basic computer skills to include Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Windows [Required] Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English [Required] EducationMaster's [Preferred] Field of Studyin Occupational Therapy Work Experience1+ years of experience as an Occupational Therapist [Preferred] Additional InformationEducation requirements for this position are determined by the licensing or certification standards set forth by the relevant certifying body.
