Spot Welder

JOB SUMMARY The Welder will be responsible for setting-up, operating and performing work in welding to fabricate metal parts and components according to customer specifications. The Welder will be required to do MIG/TIG welding and will review drawings and specifications to accurately weld parts and metal components. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Proficiently employs a diverse range of welding techniques, encompassing Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, and AluminumDemonstrates the capability to interpret and comprehend blueprints and formulas in order to ascertain the precise welding requirements for each projectPossesses the proficiency to utilize precision instruments such as calipers, tape measures, and squaresExhibits comprehensive proficiency in TIG and MIG welding techniques as per specifications outlined in technical drawingsCollaborates in the production process and provide support to machine operators as requiredMaintains a clean and organized welding environment at all timesAdditional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor; may include department transfers or special projects in order to meet production needs REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES Ability to use inspection methods including tape measure, calipers and fillet gagesAble to interpret AWS weld symbolsAble to read and interpret blueprintsAbility to communicate effectively both in oral and written form and interact appropriately with all levels of the company and customers, in which it pertains to the job responsibilitiesExcellent troubleshooting or problem resolution skillsExcellent organizational skills required to complete work assignments and prioritize urgent matters in order to meet deadlines establishedExcellent knowledge of engineering concepts and practicesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to read, write and speak English EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) requiredMIG/TIG Welding experience with Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and AluminumProficient at reading, interpreting, and understanding weld symbols, blueprints and drawings in order to accurately fabricate parts and components the first timeProficient at using quality inspection equipment (gages, micrometers, rulers), GD&T preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Regularly required to sit, stand, or walk the duration of shift, 8-10 hours. Frequently required to talk or hearOccasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach or bendManually lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
