Contracts & Compliance SpecialistLocation: Littleton, MA 01460Pay: Up to $100,000 a yearJob Type: Direct HireGeneral DescriptionThe Contracts & Compliance Specialist supports the full lifecycle of government and commercial contracts while ensuring adherence to applicable regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and export control laws. This role is critical in mitigating risk and ensuring contractual and regulatory compliance within a highly regulated aerospace and defense environment.Essential Functions(Other duties may be assigned)Contract ManagementDraft, review, and negotiate contracts, including NDAs, subcontracts, and teaming agreementsManage contracts throughout the full lifecycle (proposal through closeout; “cradle-to-grave”)Interpret contract terms and conditions and provide guidance to internal stakeholdersSupport proposal development and ensure pricing complianceCompliance & Regulatory OversightEnsure compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and other applicable government regulationsMonitor contract performance and proactively identify compliance risksMaintain accurate documentation for audits (e.g., DCAA and internal audits)Support export control and data protection requirementsCross-Functional CoordinationPartner with operations, finance, procurement, and sales teamsInterface with U.S. government agencies, suppliers, representatives, and customersProvide guidance on contractual risk and compliance strategyReporting & Process ImprovementTrack contract status, deliverables, and compliance metricsDevelop and enhance contract lifecycle management processesSupport internal training initiatives on compliance requirementsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain, or a related field2–5+ years of experience in government contractingRequired Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and foundational contract law principlesExperience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industriesPreferred QualificationsExperience with ITAR and export complianceActive security clearance or ability to obtain oneExperience with ERP and/or contract management systemsCPCM (Certified Professional Contracts Manager) certificationKey SkillsContract negotiation and draftingRegulatory compliance and risk managementStrong analytical skills and attention to detailEffective communication across technical and legal teams
