Job DescriptionPrimary Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare inventory areas for counting by organizing stock and verifying item labelsPerform physical counts of inventory items in assigned locations within warehouses, stockrooms, or inventory areasAccurately record quantities using inventory count sheets, handheld scanners, or inventory management systems.Verify item descriptions, part numbers, and quantities during the counting process.Identify and document damaged, expired, or obsolete inventory items.Recount items and investigate discrepancies between physical counts and perpetual records.Assist in reconciling inventory differences and reporting shortages or overages to supervisors or inventory control personnel.Maintain organized and properly stored inventory throughout the counting process.Education & ExperienceCollege, trade school or the military.Great opportunity for someone majoring in Accounting or Business or seeking Supply Chain experienceSkillsExcellent written and verbal communication.Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed.Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and time management.Experience with an ERP system or Excel is a plusWorking ConditionsThis role will be based on-site in Saxonburg, PARegular use of a computer and other office equipment is expected.Physical RequirementsSitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings.Ability to accurately count inventory.Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.Safety RequirementsAll employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
