We are hiring Associate Director, Global Scientific Communications & Congress Lead, Contractor (Remote).Please let me know if you are interested or anyone who might be interested.Client: Major Pharmaceutical ClientPosition: Associate Director, Global Scientific Communications & Congress Lead, Contractor (Remote).Duration: 6+ Months ContractLocation: REMOTEPay Rate: $80.00-$100.00/ Hr on W2____________________________________________________________________________________________Description:Recommended Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience for candidates with doctoral degrees or 7 years of experience for candidates with master’s degrees.Role Summary:The Associate Director, Scientific Communications Lead is responsible for driving the strategic planning, development, operationalization, and execution of Medical Affairs scientific and medical congress strategies for priority Dermatology/Immunology assets, with a particular focus on U.S. congresses. This role will drive cross-functional congress readiness, content planning and development, onsite execution support, and post-congress readouts and insights, ensuring high-quality and compliant scientific engagement. Key Responsibilities:Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of integrated U.S. congress plans in close collaboration with cross-functional partners. Lead congress planning and execution, including oversight of content development and design for medical affairs booths, collection and generation of scientific insights, planning of scientific symposia, and organization of pre- and post-congress reports. Manage congress-related logistics from a Medical Affairs perspective, including project management, agency coordination, and risk/issue management in partnership with Medical Affairs and other cross-functional teams. Build and maintain annual congress plans, including agreed-upon tactics, following established templates and processes. Support additional medical communications activities for the Scientific Communications team, with a focus on U.S. congresses. Overall Responsibilities:Provide strategic leadership for innovative congress strategies related to the development and dissemination of scientific and medical data. Ensure high scientific quality, alignment with medical strategy, and adherence to compliance and legal requirements. Communicate regular updates to key stakeholders to support ongoing functional and regional planning and manage dependencies. Foster collaboration, open communication, and a positive team environment in the development and execution of annual asset strategies, objectives, tactics, and priorities. Ensure all activities are conducted according to company standards, SOPs, applicable work instructions, and industry regulations. Serve as a subject matter expert on compliant scientific communication strategies, tactics, and policies. Ensure projects remain aligned with strategy, within budget, and are executed on schedule. Oversee budget management, financial forecasting, and vendor management with strong attention to detail. Qualifications (Required):Bachelor’s degree required; advanced scientific or healthcare degree preferred (MS, PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent experience). Minimum 5+ years of experience for candidates with doctoral degrees or 7+ years of experience for candidates with master’s degrees in Biopharma Medical Affairs, Medical Communications, Scientific Communications, Medical Education, or congress strategy/execution. Demonstrated experience leading major medical congress planning and execution within a matrix environment. Strong project and program management skills, including timelines, dependencies, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and vendor oversight. Strong scientific writing, editing, and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear scientific communications. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and implement multiple simultaneous projects within a complex global matrix organization while aligning regional and country-specific priorities. Experience and knowledge of compliant medical/scientific content development and review processes. Preferred:Dermatology and/or Immunology therapeutic area experience.
