Senior Financial Analyst

Our client is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst for a 6-month contract in Woodland Hills, CA 91367.Come work for one of the largest insurance companies in the U.S. and help people and businesses become smarter and better prepared to protect the things that matter most to them.Contract Duration: 6 Months Required Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.5+ years of experience in financial analysis, with a strong focus on IT projects or IT finance.Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.Advanced Excel skills; experience with enterprise financial and procurement systems (e.g., Coupa, SAP, or similar platforms).Strong ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for executive audiences.Proven communication and stakeholder management skills in a cross-functional environment.Desired Skills & ExperienceExperience supporting technology, infrastructure, or enterprise transformation projects.Experience working in a large, matrixed organization with multiple cost centers and funding models. Core Competencies Strategic financial analysis and decision supportProject and IT cost governanceAttention to detail and financial accuracyCross-functional collaboration and influenceWhat You Will Be Doing Daily ResponsibilitiesLead financial planning and analysis for project portfolios, including budget development, forecasting, actuals tracking, and variance analysis.Develop, review, and validate business cases (BC/CBA) for new initiatives, renewals, and major investments, ensuring alignment with financial governance, funding models, and ROI expectations.Track operational and project spend versus budget, identify financial risks and opportunities, and communicate impacts clearly to business and finance stakeholders.Partner with project and delivery teams to ensure accurate cost allocation, chargebacks, accruals, and cost center management throughout the project lifecycle.Support forecast updates, run,rate analysis, and savings realization tracking for approved projects and initiatives.Prepare executive level financial summaries and presentations to support senior leadership decision making.Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, approval workflows, and audit requirements.Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities to enhance financial transparency, cost discipline, and project cost management.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.Posted By: Joelyn Pasternack
