SummaryThe primary purpose of the Administrative Assistant can vary from location and department but will always provide location support through administrative and clerical duties.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvides administrative support to designated office locations and/or assigned departments and teams.Keeps, maintains, and orders inventory on company provided supplies and/or raw materialsPerforms data entry to support business processes using company software systems with accuracy and attention to detail.Receives incoming mail, communications, emails, and phone calls, handling when appropriate or distributing to the proper recipient when notAssists customers with product/material sales or related inquiresAssists customers and corporate accounting with billing and invoice inquires and process payments as neededWork closely with Human Resources, Safety, and Accounting Department to maintain a variety of compliance related functionsOther projects and responsibilities as deemed necessary for businessRequiredSkills and EducationHigh School diploma or GED equivalent1-2 years of administrative experience1-2 years of customer service experienceProficient in Microsoft Office ProductsWell established organizational skills with strong attention to detail, record-keeping skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityPreferredExperience in a construction, manufacturing, or production related industryKnowledge and experience in inventory and billing systemsNotary Public Commission Job RequirementsAbility to work in a team environment with production personnel, as well as the ability to work independently without close supervisionAbility to work closely with customers and outside vendors on a regular basisMust be able to work overtime as neededAbility to perform work which requires frequent and regular movement of wrists, hands, and/or fingersAbility to perform primarily sedentary work, yet occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of forceAbility to see, hear, talk, and perform tasks requiting manual dexterityAbility to operate standard office equipment including a computer, copier, fax, phone and other similar office equipmentWork EnvironmentVarying based on location and department, this position requires the majority of its responsibilities be performed in an asphalt emulsions manufacturing plant or construction office.
