About the CompanyWe are a fast-growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) delivering infrastructure, cloud, and security solutions to clients in highly regulated industries.About the RoleWe are seeking a Director of Technical Delivery to lead a multi-disciplinary team of Project Managers and Technical Project Engineers. This role is responsible for end-to-end project delivery, ensuring client engagements are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard. The successful candidate will bring a strong technical background combined with proven leadership experience within an MSP or IT services environment. You will play a critical role in shaping delivery standards, scaling team capability, and embedding modern tooling and automation into delivery workflows.ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers and Technical Project EngineersEstablish clear performance objectives, career development plans, and progression pathwaysFoster a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and client-centric deliveryRecruit and onboard high-calibre talent aligned to business growthProject & Delivery Ownership Own the full lifecycle of client projects, from scoping and planning through to execution and handoverEnsure consistent on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery across all engagementsOversee resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects, resolving conflicts and bottlenecksImplement and continuously improve delivery methodologies, frameworks, and toolingClient Engagement Act as the senior escalation point for delivery-related client issuesWork closely with pre-sales and account teams to support solution design and project scopingBuild strong relationships with senior client stakeholders across IT and business functionsLead delivery updates, project reviews, and executive-level reportingTechnical & Service Delivery Strategy Maintain and evolve delivery standards across core service areas, including infrastructure, cloud, identity, and securityDevelop repeatable delivery frameworks, templates, and best practices to improve efficiency and consistencyEnsure alignment between project delivery and ongoing managed services operationsPromote the adoption of automation and modern tooling to enhance delivery outcomesOperational & Financial Management Track and manage key delivery metrics, including utilisation, project margins, and delivery performanceProvide input into forecasting, capacity planning, and financial performanceEnsure effective governance of project scope, change control, and commercial deliverySupport compliance with relevant regulatory and security standards QualificationsSignificant experience within an MSP, IT services, or consultancy environmentProven leadership of mixed teams (Project Managers + Engineers) delivering complex technology projectsStrong technical background across one or more of the following: Microsoft 365 / AzureInfrastructure & networkingIdentity & access managementCybersecurity tooling and frameworksDemonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects and delivery teamsStrong commercial awareness, including project financials and resource utilisationExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills Preferred SkillsExperience delivering services into regulated industries (e.g. financial services)Exposure to PSA tools and structured delivery environments typical of MSPsCertifications such as PMP, ITIL, or relevant cloud/security accreditationsExperience improving or scaling delivery functions within a growing organisation
