Pharmacy Technician

Sinks Pharmacy is a part of a fast growing, family-oriented group of independent pharmacies looking for a Full Time Pharmacy Technician to work in our Sinks Pharmacy Waynesville location.We are looking for a dependable Pharmacy Technician that will process and fill prescriptions. You will assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision and in accordance with state and federal regulations, with technical functions in the pharmacy. Such functions may include measuring, counting, labeling, record keeping, and communicating with patients and other healthcare professionals. Ensures customer satisfaction by handling each customer in a prompt, professional, and friendly manner. We are looking for high energy technicians who are motivated, able to multitask and have excellent customer service skills.Highly competitive pay rate commensurate with experience. Fulltime positions are offered Medical/Dental/Vision benefits.Pharmacy Technician experience is preferred but not required, we will train you!ResponsibilitiesFollow company policies and procedures including register performance, security issues, and confidentialityGreet customers and answer questionsReceive prescriptions and check their validityProcess prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurateResolve issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims)Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptionsSort, stock, label medication and monitor inventoryUndertake administrative tasks as assignedComply with all security measures and quality standardsPerform other duties as assignedSkillsProven experience as pharmacy technician is a plusExperience with an online prescription system is a plusKnowledge of medication and dosage measurement is a plusExcellent communication and customer service skillsOutstanding organizational skillsReliable with a keen eye for detailThe ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to maintaining consistent attendance.Pharmacy technicians must be registered with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy. Any person not currently registered with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician must obtain registration prior to commencing employment in a Missouri pharmacy.
