Radiology Apprentice

RADIOLOGY APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMTo be eligible for consideration, applicant must be accepted into an accredited Radiologic Technology program for the Fall 2026 term and have successfully completed all prerequisite coursework required for program entry, ensuring the ability to graduate within the standard two-year program timeframe.POSITION SUMMARYThe Radiology Tech Assistant assists the technologists within their assigned area with tasks that expedite the completion of the daily workload according to established policies, procedures, and time schedules. The position assists other staff members upon request.This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of all prerequisite college coursework required for entry into an accredited Radiologic Technology program.LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: American Heart Association BLS required within 6 months from date of hire or transfer.EXPERIENCE: Must be adept at computer operations and able to quickly learn new programs. Previous experience in medical practices, specifically radiology, preferred.WORK ENVIRONMENTPotential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, blood-borne pathogens, hazardous substances, and potential injury. This position requires the ability to position patients and utilizing good body mechanics. This position also requires lifting and pulling patients in wheelchairs, beds, or stretchers.
