Processing Tech IIKH Miamisburg | Full-Time | Varied ShiftResponsibilities & RequirementsThe Processing Tech II plays a vital role in ensuring patient safety and positive surgical outcomes by performing advanced decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. Performs Sterile Processing procedures and duties as assigned under the supervision and guidance of the department's team leaders and manager, and certified processing technicians. This individual is considered a novice and is in the process of learning how to process surgical sets quickly and with the highest of quality.Preferred QualificationsMinimum EducationHigh School DiplomaRequired LicensesHealth Technologist and Technician, All OtherSterile Processing certification preferred through either the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or the Certification Body for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).required to be certified in 12 monthsMinimum Work ExperienceOne year of sterile processing or materials distribution experience preferred.Required SkillsAbility to work semi-independently in all three areas of Sterile Processing: decontamination, case carts and preparation/packaging.OverviewKettering Health is a not-for-profit system of 14 medical centers and more than 120 outpatient facilities serving southwest Ohio.
