This role focuses on landlord-tenant matters, including evictions, lease enforcement, and related litigation, representing primarily landlord clients.Responsibilities of the Landlord-Tenant Attorney:Provide direct client interaction with frequent courtroom appearances in landlord-tenant mattersRepresent clients in court throughout Tennessee, primarily in eviction and possession proceedingsPrepare, draft, and file legal documents related to evictions, lease disputes, and property management mattersConduct legal research and analysis specific to landlord-tenant lawAdvise clients on legal rights, obligations, and strategies related to leasing, evictions, and complianceNegotiate settlements and resolve disputes between landlords and tenantsTravel to court multiple times per weekMaintain compliance with all applicable housing laws, regulations, and court proceduresRequirements of the Landlord-Tenant Attorney:Juris Doctor (JD) requiredLicensed to practice law in TennesseeExperience in landlord-tenant law, evictions, or real estate litigation preferredAdmission to the Federal District Courts of Tennessee is a plusStrong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills2–5+ years of relevant practice experience preferredWillingness to travel for court appearancesAbility to work independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated, organized, and flexible to support firm needs as requiredCompensation and Benefits for the Landlord-Tenant AttorneySalary is commensurate with experienceHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance401(k)Paid time off
