Explore our programs here: TRC People ProgramsAt TRC, every voice is valued, every individual has the opportunity to make a difference, and together we shape a brighter, more sustainable future.OverviewTo meet growing demand, the System Protection and Automation Engineering group within the Power Sector at TRC is seeking a Senior Automation - Integration Engineer to work closely with a diverse team of high performing engineers on utility, municipal, industrial and renewable projects across the United States.ResponsibilitiesAdhere to internal TRC quality control and quality assurance practicesAdhere to client standards and requirementsInterface with clients, other company departments, outside consultants, contractors, suppliers, and manufacturersServe as an engineering team member on assigned projectsWork closely with leadership and senior team members to coordinate and maintain client satisfaction, product quality, project delivery schedules, and project budgetsDesigning, configuring, documenting, and commissioning integration systems and equipmentConceptual and detailed design, specification, procurement, integration, configuration, and commissioning of electrical utility:Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) SystemProtective RelaysIntelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs)Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)Remote Terminal Units (RTUs)Communication NetworksDesign engineering and equipment delivery coordination to meet construction schedulesNetwork communications capture, parsing, analysis, and troubleshootingProject requirement conformance reviewsSite walk-downs and solution execution planningDocumentation development and verificationReview project information (budget, schedule, and client satisfaction) with leadershipPromote complete and accurate documentation and be accountable for the quality of workParticipate in professional development, training, and quality improvementWork with Project Engineer to evaluate equipment specifications and application of new equipment based on customer goals and industry standardsDevelopment and integration of custom logic and control schemesSupport A&I aspects of multi-discipline projectsPromote efficient flow of information and ensure complete and accurate record keepingPromote team environment, support team membersTravel as needed (amount flexible)Provide effective technical support of department needs and requirementsOther duties as required by leadershipQualificationsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering or sufficient education and experience in a related field; utility experience preferred5+ years of automation - integration experienceMicrosoft Office 365 Skills, especially ExcelExperience with RTU/Data ConcentratorsExperience with PLCsDemonstrated knowledge of SCADA systemsExperience with DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61131 Programming, AcSELerator RTAC, SEL 5030 Quickset, GE Cimplicity, Protocol Test software preferredStrong understanding of serial and Ethernet communication systemsIEC 61850 experience preferredSome travel requiredRenewables experience preferredTeam-oriented, empathetic, professional attitudeBenefits*: TRC offers a competitive benefit package consisting of:Medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance.401k package that includes both traditional and Roth IRA options and Company match.Paid time off contingent upon full time or part time status and level of seniority (ranging from 15 to 25 days per year).All full-time employees enjoy a minimum of 8 Paid Holidays per year.TRC ensures that all employees, including those that work part-time, receive paid sick, family, and disability leave in accordance with the laws of their state of residence.These benefits are applicable to US employees depending on their employment status (full time, part time, or temporary).
