Duties
Support the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement and high performance.
Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and food costing to optimize quality and profitability.
Manage inventory control and ordering processes to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing waste.
Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail and timely execution.
Monitor shift activities, ensuring smooth workflow during busy periods and effective shift management.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with sanitation standards.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment, preferably with banquet or fine dining experience.
Strong culinary skills with expertise in food production, preparation, and presentation.
Knowledge of dietary requirements and food handling safety standards.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with effective team management skills.
Experience managing inventory control, food costs, and kitchen supplies.
Familiarity with catering operations and restaurant management practices.
