If interested, please respond to this job posting or can reach me at 347517031712 to 16 months contract Hybrid - multiple Loc's: (Jersey City OR Dallas OR Stamford OR Research Triangle Park (NC))Sr. Platform Engineer - Seeking experienced Cloud/Platform Engineers to support a large-scale VMWare re-platforming and OLVM migration project. The role will focus on Kubernetes-based container management, CI/CD automation, cloud infrastructure support, and platform stability within an enterprise banking environment.Key Responsibilities● Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters using Rancher in multi-environment setups (Dev, Test, Prod).● Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform.● Develop and maintain Bash scripts and automation workflows for system operations, CI/CD, and platform reliability.● Implement best practices for Kubernetes platform operations (networking, storage, RBAC, monitoring, upgrades, scaling).● Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and application teams to deliver highly available and secure platforms.● Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and platform-related issues across cloud and on-prem environments.● Maintain infrastructure documentation, standards, and reusable templates.● Participate in on-call support rotations and contribute to incident root cause analysis and postmortems.Required Skills & Experience● Professional experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.● Strong expertise in Kubernetes (cluster lifecycle, upgrades, monitoring, security, troubleshooting).● Hands-on experience with Rancher for cluster provisioning and lifecycle management.● Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (modules, state management, cloud/on-prem infra automation).● Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and operational tasks.● Solid understanding of Linux system administration, networking, and containerization.● Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, etc.).● Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, etc.).Nice-to-Have Skills● Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).ThanksAmita TatipartiSr. Technology Recruiter and Business DeveloperLenmar Consulting, Inc.
