Sr Healthcare Software Tester / QA Analyst
Job Title: Sr Healthcare Software Tester / QA Analyst Location: Washington, District of Columbia Type: Contract To Hire Compensation: $60/hour Contractor Work Model: Hybrid – onsite 1-2 days per week Hours: 40.0 Overview -Must have automation with some manual testing working with Selenium or Playwright. -2-3+ yrs Automation experience -5+ yrs QA experience and Bachelor’s degree (or an additional 4 yrs experience for a total of 9 yrs exp) -Experience with Healthcare payer -Experience with Claims 837 / 835 -Strong Data base experience work with Snowflake and OracleResponsibilitiesDevelop, modify, and execute comprehensive software test plans, test scenarios, automated scripts, and programs to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.Create and run software tests to identify issues and determine root causes, ensuring system modifications are prepared for implementation.Document software and application defects using bug tracking systems, reporting defects to developers and product owners.Participate in software design reviews and lead efforts in supporting overall quality of systems and applications.Analyze moderately complex requirements, operational problems, specifications, and change requests, producing effective test cases and scripts.Monitor accuracy and thoroughness of test cases and data, performing test executions within scheduled dates.Research and troubleshoot operational/test system defects, proposing technical solutions and corrective actions.Analyze test results to verify functionality, recommend corrections, and maintain detailed documentation for debugging and software updates.Collaborate with development engineers for issue resolution and provide feedback for system and software assessments.Guide and mentor testing team members, supporting project needs and coordinating with associates, contractors, and third-party resources.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or Computer ScienceMinimum of 5 years experience in software development and/or testingIn lieu of degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience requiredHIPAA Certification a plusStrong analytical skills with healthcare payor experience, capable of future conversion eligibilityLocal to DMV area; willingness to attend in-person meetings and collaborate on-site5+ years experience in Healthcare payer claims processing (837 / 835)2-3+ years experience with automation testingSolid understanding of testing methodology and SDLCStrong database skills in Snowflake, OracleExperience with JIRA or similar PM/SDLC toolsExcellent problem-solving and analytical abilitiesMulti-tasking aptitude and attention to detailKnowledge of wireless communications and network systemsAdvanced programming skills in relevant languagesDeep expertise in X12 EDI transactions (837 & 835) and claims adjudication platformsFamiliarity with HIPAA compliance and payer systemsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products or equivalentsNICe to have: Facets claims adjudication platform and relevant certificationsSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
