Continuation beyond the initial term will depend on organizational needs and available funding. We're seeking a warm, organized, adaptable, and community-oriented Program & Community Manager to help facilitate entrepreneur programs and public events while serving as a primary point of contact for participating entrepreneurs.Position DetailsPosition: Program & Community ManagerType: Part-Time W-2 EmployeeCompensation: $32/hourHours: Approximately 15 hours per week, with slight seasonal variation based on program needsBenefits: This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored health insurance or retirement benefits.Reports To: Executive Director, CapeTideLocation: Hybrid; significant in-person presence required on Cape CodStart Date: August 18, 2026Application Deadline: July 20, 2026About the RoleThe Program & Community Manager serves as the lead operational staff member during CapeTide programs and events. This role combines relationship-building with hands-on program coordination to ensure entrepreneurs, volunteers, and instructors have an outstanding experience.CapeTide's curriculum, schedules, class materials, and operational systems are already established. The Executive Director oversees program strategy, curriculum, mentor management, partnerships, fundraising, and organizational communications. The Program & Community Manager focuses on facilitating program delivery, coordinating logistics, and supporting entrepreneurs throughout their experience.Key ResponsibilitiesEntrepreneur SupportServe as a primary point of contact for entrepreneursSupport applications, interviews, onboarding, attendance, and ongoing participationFoster a welcoming, collaborative cohort environmentNavigate sensitive situations with professionalism and empathyProgram & Event FacilitationFacilitate entrepreneur classes, workshops, and public eventsCoordinate instructors, volunteers, schedules, room setup, food, supplies, and materialsManage attendance, participant communications, and operational recordsFacilitate Zoom classes, breakout rooms, screen sharing, and participant troubleshootingTroubleshoot operational issues and adapt to changing circumstancesCoordinate Final Presentations, Mid-Pitch events, Showcase & Celebration, and community outreach eventsWelcome participants, introduce speakers, make announcements, and confidently speak in front of groups, including using a microphone during public eventsVolunteer & Administrative CoordinationRecruit, coordinate, and support volunteer instructors and facilitatorsFacilitate class sessions using prepared materials if a volunteer instructor is unexpectedly unavailableSupport HubSpot CRM, Google Workspace, and other organizational systemsMaintain receipts, attendance records, and operational documentationSchedule ExpectationsEvening availability is required during active programs and events.Fall Intensive (September–December)Tuesday and Thursday evenings (approximately 5:00–8:00 p.m.)Combination of in-person classes at the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce and virtual classes via ZoomParticipation in Final Presentation Week and the Showcase & Celebration eventSpring Accelerator ProgramsSession A: Tuesday and Thursday evenings (5:30–8:30 p.m.)Session B: Tuesday and Thursday daytime (10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.)Both programs are held at the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce.Candidates who are unavailable during Session B daytime hours are still encouraged to apply. We anticipate some flexibility in scheduling Spring programming and will consider availability as part of the hiring process. Responsibilities during both programs include preparing the classroom, greeting participants, facilitating program operations, coordinating logistics, and closing the space after each session.Occasional travel throughout Cape Cod is required.
