Position: 1 Direct Hire - OnsiteLocation: El Dorado Hills, CA (95762)Schedule: Monday - Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM PTIndustry: Industrial Automation / ManufacturingCategory: Engineering / ElectricalWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design, development, documentation, and testing of factory automation systems. This role involves integrating a wide range of industrial components and machinery, from PLC-based control systems to Ethernet communications, robotics, and power distribution.The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience in industrial automation, electrical system integration, and cross-functional collaboration. This role supports projects from concept through assembly and troubleshooting and contributes to continuous improvement of engineering tools and processes.This is a 100% onsite role in El Dorado Hills, CA.What We Are Looking For:Hands-on senior electrical engineer with factory automation expertiseStrong collaborator across engineering, management, and production teamsAbility to design safe, reliable, and cost-effective electrical systemsStrong troubleshooting mindset with attention to detailComfortable working across multiple projects in parallelKey Responsibilities Electrical Design & Engineering Design and schematically capture all electrical circuits for new and modified factory automation systems Design electrical panels, enclosures, and cabling using approved CAD tools Produce complete assembly and build documentation Select and integrate PLC components per company standards PLC & Controls Integration Collaborate with software teams on PLC programming, including foundational functions and diagnostics Support integration of PLC-based control systems into new electrical designs Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support Work with mechanical, software, and production teams to troubleshoot and debug systems Support and advise technicians during system assembly Provide technical support and training to staff Process Improvement & Vendor Management Participate in continuous improvement of design tools and processes Research and evaluate new CAD tools and diagnostic equipment Establish and maintain vendor relationships for electrical components and services Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirementsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field4+ years of experience in factory automation or industrial system integrationStrong PLC system design experienceProficiency with AutoCAD, Visio, SolidWorks, or Autodesk InventorStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple projects concurrentlyRecruiter Submission Template:Full Name:Current Location (City, State):Highest Degree (Field, Institution):Years of factory automation experience:Experience designing PLC-based control systems?
