Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. A middle school opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher focused on Life Skills education, working with grades 5-9. This contract position supports a small group of nine students with two aides, emphasizing applied skills in a supportive classroom environment. The role is based in Anderson, IN, with additional opportunities in Delaware, Blackford, and Muncie, IN. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction in life skills tailored to students with diverse learning needs Collaborate with aides and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual goals Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment for middle school students Communicate regularly with parents and school staff regarding student development and needs Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors degree in Education or a related field Valid Indiana Teachers license or eligibility to receive one, specifically in Mild or Intense Interventions Experience working with middle school students, particularly in special education life skills settings, preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Patience and dedication to supporting students with special needs Location: Anderson, IN with additional positions available in Delaware, Blackford, and Muncie, Indiana.
