DNR Conservation Easement Program Manager PositionPosition DescriptionAre you interested in a career that allows you to serve small forest landowners by compensating them for economic impacts of the Forest Practices Rules? The Forest Practices Division of Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is looking for a Conservation Easement Program Manager to manage both the Forestry Riparian Easement Program (FREP) and the Rivers and Habitat Open Space Program (RHOSP).This position is responsible for making recommendations to achieve program goals and objectives, managing allocation of program resources, ensuring budget is appropriately managed, setting and adjusting program priorities, and consistently reviewing and ensuring program effectiveness. This position plays a critical role in establishing and maintaining positive, collaborative, and productive working relationships within Forest Regulation Division Small Forest Landowner Office, small forest landowners, and with our external partners and collaborators.This supervisory role is a key opportunity to role model leadership through demonstrating accountability, fostering positive, consistent, and iterative communication, exhibiting ability to be flexible as assignments and priorities change through the work week. The position directs, prioritizes, and supervises the work of one Lead Conservation Forester position (Natural Resource Specialist 3), one Cruiser position (Natural Resource Specialist 3), and one Property & Acquisition Specialist 2, in fulfilling program duties. This position is also a second line supervisor to 5 Natural Resource Specialists 2 Conservation Easement Forester positions.This position works under the guidance of state regulations, agency policies and procedures and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
