Senior Site Reliability EngineerLocation: Remote in the United States*Please note that while this role may be performed remotely within the United States, a final in-person interview at our Vienna, VA office is required prior to hire.*About the RoleWe're looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps Engineer to join our small but growing infrastructure team. You'll work alongside our existing Site Reliability team to build and maintain the systems that keep our platform reliable, secure, and observable. This is a generalist role on a lean team where you will be involved with everything from CI/CD pipelines to cost optimization to incident response.If you thrive in environments where you can own problems end-to-end and want to shape infrastructure practices from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesApplication Performance & ReliabilityPartner directly with product teams to identify, diagnose, and resolve application performance issues or escalate to the appropriate ownersBuild and improve monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding across our application and infrastructure using the Grafana stackEstablish SLIs/SLOs and drive reliability improvements based on dataParticipate in incident response and blameless postmortemsOn-call rotation during business hours with off-hours coverage for critical incidents onlyInfrastructure & Platform EngineeringManage and evolve AWS infrastructure using TerraformMaintain and improve ECS-based deployments for our Rails monolith and supporting servicesOwn and enhance CI/CD pipelines in GitHub ActionsBuild internal tooling that improves developer productivity and deployment confidenceSecurity & ComplianceSupport HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance through infrastructure controls, access management, and audit readinessImplement and maintain security best practices across cloud resourcesFinOpsMonitor cloud spend and identify optimization opportunitiesRight-size resources and implement cost-aware infrastructure patternsRequirements2-3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering roles2-3+ years of software development experienceFamiliarity with one or more high-level languages such as Ruby, Python, Javascript, Java, C/C++, etc.Strong hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud platformProficiency with Infrastructure as CodeExperience with containerized deploymentsWorking knowledge of CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with observability toolingUnderstanding of security fundamentals and compliance in regulated environmentsComfortable working in a small team where ownership and initiative matterNice to HaveAWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, etc.)Experience in healthcare or other compliance-heavy industries (HIPAA, SOC 2)Background in data engineering or ETL pipelinesQA or test automation experienceFamiliarity with Ruby on Rails applicationsAbout careviso:careviso is a cutting-edge, rapidly-growing healthcare technology company.
