Technical Project Manager

*Job Title:* Security Project Manager *Duration:* Long-term Contract *Location:* Seattle WA Onsite *Experience:* Senior-level Project Management / Security Project Delivery*Role Overview*The Security Project Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering enterprise cybersecurity and information security initiatives. This role requires someone who can manage projects end-to-end while working closely with security, infrastructure, application, compliance, business, and leadership teams.The ideal candidate should have strong project management experience along with a solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, security controls, and enterprise IT environments.*Key Responsibilities* * Lead *end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity and information security projects* from initiation through implementation and closure. * Manage projects related to *IAM, cloud security, data protection, network security, vulnerability management, risk remediation, and security compliance*. * Define project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and success criteria. * Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, resource plans, RAID logs, and project documentation. * Manage project *risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and escalations*. * Track project progress and ensure initiatives are delivered within agreed scope, timeline, and quality expectations. * Coordinate cross-functional teams including *Cybersecurity, IAM, Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, Application, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and external vendors*. * Facilitate project meetings, governance forums, steering committee meetings, status reviews, and stakeholder discussions. * Provide regular project status updates, dashboards, metrics, and executive-level reporting. * Act as the primary point of contact for project status, risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations. * Work with security teams to ensure project deliverables align with organizational security policies and standards. * Identify cybersecurity-related project risks and coordinate appropriate mitigation and remediation activities. * Support initiatives aligned with *NIST, ISO 27001, CIS*, and other applicable security frameworks and controls. * Coordinate audit, regulatory, compliance, and security assessment activities as required. * Support enterprise security roadmap initiatives and ensure timely execution of strategic security programs. * Coordinate vulnerability management and security remediation initiatives across technical teams. * Support improvements to *incident response processes, security policies, controls, and operational procedures*. * Manage third-party vendors and ensure deliverables, milestones, and contractual commitments are tracked. * Maintain project artifacts, meeting minutes, action items, dashboards, status reports, and executive communications. * Ensure effective communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. *Required / Preferred Skills* * Strong *Security Project Management / Cybersecurity Project Management* experience. * Experience delivering enterprise *Information Security / Cybersecurity projects*. * Knowledge of *IAM / Identity & Access Management, Cloud Security, Network Security, Data Protection, and Vulnerability Management*. * Strong understanding of *risk management, security controls, compliance, and audit requirements*. * Experience with *Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project management methodologies*. * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. * Experience working with senior leadership, security teams, IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors. * Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, risks, and dependencies simultaneously. * Experience with security frameworks such as *NIST, ISO 27001, CIS*, or equivalent. * Strong project reporting, governance, documentation, and presentation skills. *Certifications*Preferred certifications include: * *PMP* * *PRINCE2* * *Scrum / SAFe / Agile certifications* * *CISSP* * *CISM* * *ITIL Foundation* or equivalent Job Type: Contract Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour Experience: * Cybersecurity: 10 years (Preferred) * Information security: 10 years (Preferred) * Project management: 10 years (Preferred) Ability to Commute: * Seattle, WA 98101 (Required) Work Location: In person
