JOB REQUIREMENTS: The City of Onalaska is seeking a dedicated anddependable part-time Custodian (20 hours per week) to join the Parks &Recreation Department. The Custodian is primarily assigned to theLibrary and is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overallappearance ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for employees andvisitors. This role involves performing cleaning tasks, including trashremoval, floor maintenance, and restroom sanitation, as well as minorrepair work as needed. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Empty anddispose trash in waste and recycling containers per schedule. Damp mopand dust mop all floors surfaces in hallways, meeting rooms, and officeson a designated schedule. Vacuum all carpets per schedule. Dust flatsurfaces with treated cloth. Spot clean walls and doors. Wash doorwindows as needed. Clean, disinfect all bathroom facilities each shift.Dust mop and damp mop floors, wash entire surface of sinks, toilets, andurinals. Restock soap, toilet paper, and rolled towels. Washes windows,walls, and other areas as necessary. May, as time permits, perform basicelectrical, plumbing, construction, painting, and repairs to interiorfacilities. Assures that equipment is cleaned and properly stored at theend of each shift. Contributes to a cooperative working effort bydemonstrating a willingness to perform other job-related work or specialprojects as needed or requested.
