Senior Project Manager, Water Wastewater (Civil)

Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionWestwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Project Manager/Service Lead in Dallas, TX, to drive and grow our water/wastewater engineering practice. This leadership role involves strategic planning, team development, innovation, and collaboration to enhance our market presence and technical excellence.The ideal candidates will have 10+ years of progressive experience in design, management, and business development and at least 6 of those years in water/wastewater engineering, be licensed Professional Civil Engineers in Texas (or eligible within 6 months), and possess a strong project management and team leadership background. With a focus on developing business strategies and advancing service initiatives, this position offers the opportunity to shape the future of water/wastewater.RequirementsPartner with leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan focused on short- and long-term growthLead service-specific proposal efforts, providing technical expertise and driving innovation in our project approachesStay ahead of industry trends, leveraging this insight to enhance our service offerings and project delivery methodsImplement and uphold high standards for our work products, from design standards to project reports, ensuring quality and consistency across the boardRepresent clients and the firm in meetings with governmental agenciesLead business development activitiesBuild relationships internally and externally with clients and strategic partnersNegotiate contract terms and conditionsManage the design and delivery of projects in a profitable mannerSupervise the work of engineers and/or technical support personnel assigned to the projectDevelop project work plans and budget projections and effectively deploy resourcesReview, interpret, and act upon business metrics, including utilization, backlog, work in process, and accounts receivablePrepare, maintain, and coordinate schedules of multiple concurrent projects Develop and track milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget deliveryImplement and maintain QA/QC proceduresParticipate in contract bidding, provide limited observation during construction, review submittals and RFIsResolve design conflicts and field construction issuesGrow, mentor and train staffRequired SkillsLeader with experience in project management, team building, and technical leadershipReady to guide our team with strategic insight and a commitment to excellenceDevelop and implement marketing strategies, building client relationshipsExceptional communication skills, capable of engaging effectively at all organizational levelsProficiency in Microsoft Office and a deep understanding of the water/wastewater consulting businessProven track record in operations, business development, and technical project management within the water/wastewater or related sectorsAbility to travel as needed to project sites and other Westwood offices nationwideQualificationsBS in Civil EngineeringLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas (or capable of obtaining within 6 months)10+ years or progressive experience in design, management, and business development6+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineeringAbout Westwood Professional Services, Inc.
