Title: Typescript Developer Location: Johnston, IA (Hybrid) Duration: 12+ Months W2 Contract Role Specific Position Requirements: Work Schedule: Hybrid (50% onsite, 50% remote) - Tues-Wed-Thurs one week, Wed-Thurs next week Position Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team as a staff augmentation expert in cloud web application design and development. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in modernizing a series of mainframe solutions, with a strong emphasis on design and leading a team through technical roadblocks while aligning with our Roadmap. You will also lead the team in Test Driven Development (TDD) through pair programming sessions. Our primary language of choice for both implementation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is Typescript. Key Responsibilities: Modernize mainframe solutions, focusing on design and technical leadership. Lead the team in TDD practices while pair programming. Utilize Typescript for implementation and IaC. Collaborate with AWS services and cloud development (5+ years of experience). Apply expertise in software development using Java (5+ years of experience). Work in an Agile Environment (4+ years of experience). Mentor junior software engineers on the team. Practice Paired Programming. Demonstrate a quick learning ability. Build consensus among team members. Design solutions in a modern cloud environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field, such as Computer Science, Computer Information, or Software Engineering. 7+ years of experience in Javascript, especially Typescript (MUST BE CLEARLY SHOWN IN RESUME). 5+ years of experience with AWS services and cloud development. 5+ years of experience in software development using Java. 4+ years of experience working in an Agile Environment. Experience mentoring junior software engineers. Proficiency in Test Driven Development across multiple platforms. Strong experience with Paired Programming.
