Job Title: Equipment Integration Engineer -- SONDC5791914Location: Newton, NC (Onsite)Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Occasional Overtime)Position SummaryThe Equipment Integration Lead is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of installation and integration of new or modified equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures equipment is properly deployed, fully operational, and aligned with production, safety, and quality standards. The position acts as a key liaison between engineering, operations, automation, and external vendors.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end equipment integration projects including design, installation, commissioning, debugging, and handoffCoordinate cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, process engineering, quality, facilities, maintenance, EHS, and automationDefine project scope, timelines, milestones, and resource requirementsManage vendors for equipment design, FAT/SAT, installation, and troubleshootingEnsure equipment compatibility with facility infrastructure, utilities, and control systemsOversee equipment setup, startup, testing, and performance optimizationDrive issue resolution using structured troubleshooting and root cause analysisEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standardsPrepare and maintain technical documentation (SOPs, work instructions, specifications, risk assessments, change controls)Track project progress, budgets, risks, and provide status updates to stakeholdersSupport training of operations and maintenance teams on newly installed equipmentLead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiencyRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related fieldSeveral years of experience in equipment engineering, manufacturing engineering, or equipment integrationProven experience with equipment installation, startup, and commissioningStrong knowledge of manufacturing equipment and production processesExperience with troubleshooting complex systems and root cause analysisHands-on experience with CAD or equipment designStrong project management and cross-functional coordination skillsFamiliarity with data analysis tools such as SPC, Minitab, or JMPExcellent communication and documentation skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in high-tech or regulated manufacturing environments (optical fiber, semiconductor, electronics, etc.)Knowledge of validation processes such as FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQExperience with CMMS, ERP, or engineering documentation systemsLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
