Material HandlerThe Material Handler works on the production floor to ensure machines are consistently supplied with raw materials and production runs smoothly. This role focuses on safe and efficient material handling, supporting plastic injection molding and related operations, and may include training on mold changeovers and basic equipment operation.Work on the production floor to keep machines consistently loaded with raw materials to support continuous manufacturing operations.Perform material handling tasks, including staging, moving, and organizing materials to meet production schedules.Use a pallet jack to safely transport materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility.Support plastic injection molding and CNC-related operations by ensuring timely delivery and removal of materials as directed.Learn and potentially perform mold changeovers under supervision, following established procedures and safety guidelines.Read and interpret basic blueprints or work instructions to understand material requirements and assembly steps.Assist with crimping, drilling, laser operation, soldering, wiring, and electrical assembly tasks as needed to support production.Use power tools and other production equipment safely and correctly according to training and company standards.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all housekeeping and 5S practices.Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors in English, both verbally and in writing, to report material needs, issues, or safety concerns.Follow all safety policies, including the proper use of company-provided PPE and adherence to material handling and lifting guidelines.Participate in on-site assessments such as the Purdue Pegboard Dexterity test and follow any related instructions.Train on first shift for a defined period to learn processes, equipment, and safety procedures before transitioning to second shift.Support a team-first culture by collaborating with coworkers, assisting others when needed, and contributing to a positive work environment.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL. The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
