Service Cashier - Part Time

Job Type Part-time Wage: 14.50-17.50 DOE Details Afternoon/Closing Shift ( From 2/3pm until 6 pm) Every other Saturday (8am-1pm) and Holidays as Scheduled Flexible Hours- Perfect for students! SUMMARY We are seeking a part time cashier with excellent customer service skills. This person plays a key role in maintaining and creating customer satisfaction for the business transactions. This position can be flexible with the start time of the shift to a certain extent. Cashier: Receives payment for products or services sold by the dealership. Serves as a back up to the Receptionist. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Greets customers at the cashier window/receptionist desk in a pleasant and professional manner. Prints customer invoices. Receives cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers and insurance companies; records amount received. Makes change and issues receipts to customers. Answer phones and direct consumer to the proper department and follow up in a timely manner Prepares daily cash deposits. Provides refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise or as directed by managers. Reconciles cash drawer daily. Answers customer questions about service performed or products purchased, or refers them to someone who can. Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution. Provides clerical and secretarial assistance to departments as needed. Acts as backup to switchboard operator (Receptionist). Maintains a professional appearance. Keeps work area neat and clean. Keeps current on all training requirements; such as GM training, Compliance training, and other training as assigned by the manager. Sets a good example by maintaining a healthy work demeanor and cooperating with other managers and fellow employees in a positive spirit of teamwork. Represents Puklich Chevrolet Inc. positively when out in the community. Qualifications Available to work flexible hours on weeknights & Saturdays Ability to communicate customers' interests needs and requests to management and sales personnel Professional personal appearance Basic Accounting Skills and knowledge of Accounts Receivable (Not Required, but Preferred) Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
