Job DescriptionSenior Project Manager - Structural SteelA well-established structural steel fabricator and erector is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support and lead projects across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions. This role is ideal for a driven professional who can manage multiple projects, coordinate across teams, and ensure seamless execution from detailing through erection and closeout.As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role within the project management team, overseeing all phases of structural steel projects while maintaining strong relationships with clients, erectors, and internal teams. This position offers flexibility in location, with options to work from regional offices or remotely for the right candidate.Key ResponsibilitiesLead structural steel projects from kickoff through closeoutCoordinate with detailers to monitor drawing progress and ensure accuracyIdentify, request, and follow up on required information from architects and engineersSchedule and oversee fabrication, delivery, and erection activitiesCoordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other tradesPerform field measurements and support jobsite executionResolve jobsite challenges and maintain project momentumManage change orders including pricing, negotiation, and executionCollaborate with accounting on job costing, forecasting, and financial trackingIssue closeout documentation and ensure project completion requirements are metBuild and maintain strong client and erector relationshipsTravel to project sites as needed to support executionQualifications5+ years of project management experience with a structural steel fabricator/erectorOR 3+ years of experience with a degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Civil/Structural EngineeringAbility to read and interpret architectural and structural drawingsStrong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skillsExperience managing multiple stakeholders across fabrication and field operationsWillingness to travel to job sites as neededTechnical / Industry ExpectationsWorking knowledge of structural steel project workflows from detailing through erectionUnderstanding of shop drawing processes and coordination with engineering teamsFamiliarity with field operations, sequencing, and erection practicesAbility to manage project schedules, logistics, and subcontractor coordinationStrong grasp of cost tracking and change order managementCompensation & BenefitsBase salary: $95,000 - $130,000 (DOE)Comprehensive benefits package including:Health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time offLife insuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramProfessional development assistanceReferral programRelocation assistanceIf you're an experienced structural steel Project Manager looking to take on a leadership role with a respected and growing organization, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career.Send your resume to: justin.knitt@gogpac.com
