Job Description Job Title: Full-Time Volleyball CoachOrganization: Fusion VolleyballHour Full Time Rate: $23 - $30 per hourWork Hours: 30-40 hours a weekReports To: Director of Community and SportPosition Summary:Fusion Volleyball Club is seeking a dedicated and high-energy Full-Time Volleyball Coach to lead and support both boys and girls club teams while contributing to all areas of athlete development across the club. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality on-court instruction, fostering a positive and competitive team environment, and supporting the growth of athletes at all levels.This position requires a strong on-court presence and a commitment to working year-round across team practices, competitions, camps, clinics, and tryouts. In addition to coaching responsibilities, this role will contribute to the planning and development of training programs to ensure consistency and quality across the club.Key Responsibilities:Team Coaching & Athlete DevelopmentServe as Head or Assistant Coach for both a boys club team and a girls club teamPlan and lead structured, high-quality practices aligned with club training standardsDevelop athletes' technical, tactical, and mental aspects of the gameManage team communication, expectations, and culture throughout the seasonCoach at tournaments and competitions, including travel as requiredProgram Planning & DevelopmentContribute to the planning and design of camps, clinics, and training sessionsAssist in building practice plans, seasonal training outlines, and skill progression modelsCollaborate with leadership to ensure alignment with club-wide development philosophyProvide input on program improvements based on on-court experience and athlete needsOn-Court Program LeadershipLead and assist in camps, clinics, and developmental training programsSupport and run training sessions outside of team practices as assignedHelp implement training plans that align with club-wide development goalsMaintain a strong, visible presence in the gym across multiple programsTryouts & Player EvaluationAssist with planning and execution of club tryoutsEvaluate athletes and contribute to team selection decisionsProvide feedback to athletes and families when appropriateCollaboration & Club SupportWork closely with the Director of Community and Sport to ensure alignment in training philosophy and standardsCollaborate with other coaches to ensure consistency across teams and age groupsSupport club events, tournaments, and community initiativesUphold and model club values, expectations, and culture at all timesQualifications:Prior volleyball coaching experience (club, high school, or collegiate level preferred)Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, systems, and training methodsExperience working with both male and female athletes preferredAbility to lead groups, communicate effectively, and build relationships with athletes and familiesStrong organizational and time-management skillsKey Attributes:High energy with a strong on-court presencePassion for teaching and developing athletesPositive, accountable, and team-first mindsetAdaptable and able to coach athletes across a range of skill levelsWillingness to take ownership of both coaching and planning responsibilitiesWork Environment & Expectations:Full-time, year-round coaching roleRegular evening and weekend hours requiredTravel for competitions as part of team responsibilitiesSignificant time spent on-court in active coaching rolesFast-paced, team-oriented club environmentAny questions, please contact TLien@fusionvball.com
