Position Type:Non Certified Staff Positions/Food ServiceDate Posted:3/13/2026Location:Mansfield Senior High SchoolThere is a position available for the Summer Food Service Program - General HelpGeneral Information:Dates: 06/05/26 - 08/07/26 (May be shorter or longer based on scheduled student programs)Days: Monday - FridaySchedule: Hours may vary and are subject to change based on scheduled student programsReport Time: 7:00AM / End Time: TBD (Likely around 12:30PM)Wages: $17.00/HourResponsible to: Summer Food Service Program - Person In ChargeSummary: Generally responsible for preparing bagged breakfasts and bagged lunches, assist with paper work, organization of meals for distribution, and clean up for Summer Food Service Program. Both meals will consist of cold food only. Other duties as assigned may include (but are not limited to) spot-mopping, trash removal, etc.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED.Knows how to safely operate and care for all standardized food service equipment.Knowledge and understanding of Federal School Lunch and Breakfast Requirements.Knowledge and understanding of Standardized Food Service Weights and Measures.Has current knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation procedures.Must be able to stand on feet for four hours or more, bend, and lift up to 25 by himself/herself, and up to approximately 50 pounds with help from another staff member.Must be able to come in early and stay late as needed by Manager of Food Service or Summer Program Coordinator due to unusual circumstances (i.e., temporary meal time changes).Duties & Responsibilities:Complete duties assigned in an efficient, accurate, neat, and sanitary manner.Follow sound sanitary guidelines and safety procedures in preparation of food and use of equipment.Prepare and set up bagged meals for distribution. Obtain and pack dishes, trays, utensils, cold foods, beverages, and condiments.Wipe-off counters and other work surfaces; arrange, re-arrange and replenish items as needed.Assist in post-meal distribution tasks (counting, clean up, etc.) as assigned or directed. Report defective equipment/supplies and unusual conditions to supervision.Assist in dish room as needed to complete clean-up of dishes, trays, utensils, and equipment, including dish machine.Assist as needed to expedite flow of work in kitchen and cafeteria, etc.Communicate and cooperate with the Manager of Food Service, Person In Charge, Summer Program Staff, children, and parents to meet the needs of the district.Abide by the Mansfield City Board of Education policies and regulations.Perform other appropriate duties which may be assigned by the Person In Charge, Food Service Manager, and/or Summer Program Coordinator.Conduct: Each staff member shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance and abuse of any prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.Each staff member shall serve as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, intelligent human beings. Each staff member has a moral responsibility to help instill in students the belief in and practice of ethical principles and democratic values.Terms of Employment: Per the Mansfield City Schools Board of Education/Mansfield School Employees Association Negotiated Agreement.
