Varsity Head Boys Basketball Coach The Richmond R-XVI School District is currently seeking a Varsity Head Boys Basketball Coach starting with the 2026-2027 school year. Various teaching certifications are potentially being considered to combine with this position based on District needs and the applicant's credentials.Reports to: The head varsity coach shall report directly to the Athletic Director and the Coach shall be evaluated a minimum of once each year.Qualifications: Current Missouri State teaching certificate. Previous coaching experience preferred.Responsibilities:Shall be responsible for overseeing the entire grades 8 12 boys basketball program and coachesSet up practice schedules with the athletic directorNotify parents and athletic director if an injury occursTransportation requests will be sent to the athletic directorFile all year end reports: Letter winnersSeason recordsInventoryAll conference, district, state honorsComplete official rating forms and return to the athletic directorShall handle the equipment distribution and collectionSubmit to the athletic director a budget of needs for the programFill out requisitions and purchase orders and submit to the athletic directorAssist the athletic director with game schedulingCheck eligibility of all participantsKeep an open line of communication with the athletic director and other administrationArrange for building usageShall attend Missouri River Valley Conference (MRVC) meetingsShall attend MSHSAA rules meetingsShall prepare rosters and present to the athletic directorDirect assistant coachesMaintain inventoriesEnforce training rulesAttend practices and gamesAttend coaching clinics and workshopsBe active in off-season camps, shoot-outs and clinicsImprove the program by encouraging students to participate in the sport at all levelsShall be supportive of all programsComply with all policies and regulations as stated in the coaches handbookCoaches may be assigned other duties at the discretion of the administrationThe head coach will evaluate their assistant coaches
