Unlike traditional private equity firms, we are focused on building and operating businesses for the long term rather than short investment cycles.Current portfolio companies include Becker Boiler, an industrial boiler service and installation company, and Dehumidifier Corporation of America (DCA), a custom engineered HVAC equipment manufacturer.Our focus is on partnering with strong businesses operating in specialized markets where operational execution, customer relationships, technical expertise, and long term thinking create sustainable competitive advantages.Fox River Capital is actively pursuing additional acquisitions throughout Wisconsin and the broader Midwest.The RoleFox River Capital is seeking a highly motivated Operations & Acquisitions Associate to support Becker Boiler and Fox River Capital’s acquisition and business development efforts.This role will primarily focus on supporting Becker Boiler, an industrial boiler service and installation company based in the Milwaukee area, while also assisting Fox River Capital with sourcing and evaluating acquisition opportunities throughout Wisconsin and the broader Midwest. The role will also provide lighter financial and operational support to Dehumidifier Corporation of America (DCA), a custom engineered HVAC equipment manufacturer.This is not a traditional corporate role. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, intelligent, hardworking, entrepreneurial, and eager to take on meaningful responsibility across multiple businesses.The ideal candidate is someone who wants exposure to operations, acquisitions, finance, and business building while working directly with ownership in a fast moving entrepreneurial environment.Operating Responsibilities:• Supporting operational and financial oversight at Becker Boiler• Managing accounts payable workflows and vendor coordination• Assisting with banking relationships, insurance relationships, and cash management coordination• Coordinating with outside accounting and fractional CFO partners• Assisting with quarterly investor reporting and financial reporting coordination• Supporting EOS scorecards, KPI tracking, and operational improvement initiatives• Assisting with strategic projects and business improvement initiatives• Providing lighter operational and financial support to DCA as neededFox River Capital Responsibilities:• Identifying and researching acquisition opportunities• Networking with business brokers, investment bankers, CPAs, attorneys, and business owners• Attending industry conferences and networking events• Assisting with acquisition evaluation, industry research, and financial analysis• Supporting acquisition sourcing and relationship development efforts• Assisting ownership with strategic growth initiatives across the portfolioThe ideal candidate:• Has 4 to 10 years of professional experience• Has a background in accounting, finance, banking, operations, business analytics, or a related field• Is highly organized and detail oriented• Has strong communication and follow through skills• Is comfortable operating in entrepreneurial and industrial environments• Is motivated by growth, responsibility, and long term opportunity• Is willing to roll up their sleeves and solve problems• Has strong work ethic and ownership mentality• Has prior leadership or management experience• Is based in or willing to relocate to the greater Milwaukee areaThis role has the potential to evolve into a long term operating leadership position within Fox River Capital as the organization continues to grow through acquisitions.Compensation:• Competitive base salary• Performance bonus tied to company profitability and acquisition success• Significant long term growth opportunity
