Senior Backend Developer

[OPEN TO CANDIDATES BASED IN EUROPE ONLY]Role OverviewWe're looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer. As a remote freelancer, you'll be instrumental in transforming the food supply chain through cutting-edge software solutions. Collaborate with our dynamic CRM team to develop and enhance CRM and analytics products used by food and beverage distributors across Western Europe and the US.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with product managers and designers to build comprehensive, end-to-end features.Scope technical work and create detailed RFC/TDDs for team review.Work in tandem with fellow engineers, offering constructive feedback on pull requests, reviewing TDDs, and engaging in pair programming and brainstorming sessions.Actively participate in team and organizational meetings.Address technical debt, resolve bugs, and implement tooling improvements.Share expertise through quality documentation and knowledge transfer within the team.Required SkillsAt least 8 years of software engineering experience.Minimum 2 years of freelancing experience.Proven track record of delivering features in product teams, collaborating with multiple stakeholders and engineers.Demonstrated experience in leading project implementations from start to finish.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Proficiency with the following technologies:Node/TypescriptFramework: NestJSCloud: AWS (ECS, Dynamo, SNS/SQS, Lambda)Infrastructure: KubernetesPostgresReactProven ability to integrate AI into day-to-day workflows, such as through custom workflows, evaluation systems, or harnesses.Nice to HaveExperience in digitalizing supply chain processes.Familiarity with CRM and analytics product development.
