Electrical Control Engineer

A leading global manufacturing organisation is seeking an Electrical Control Engineer to join its engineering team at a key production facility in Circleville, Ohio. This position will play a critical role in delivering both new installations and modifications to existing plant processes, supporting operational excellence across the site.Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will take ownership of projects from concept through to commissioning, ensuring delivery against safety, quality, and productivity targets.Key Responsibilities:Develop and communicate detailed project plans, translating technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholdersDefine project scope, obtain engineering and construction bids, and manage project approvalsOversee installation, coordinate system outages, and support commissioning and startup activitiesManage project budgets and schedules, ensuring delivery within agreed constraintsTrack and report project spend, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions where requiredSupport troubleshooting and diagnosis of operational and maintenance issuesLead process control and infrastructure improvements, including power distribution systemsDevelop and implement training programs for operations and maintenance teamsEnsure full compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (including OSHA PSM and relevant quality systems)Key Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related disciplineMinimum 5 years’ experience in controls, DCS, or PLC systems within an industrial environmentExperience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming and process instrumentation (or willingness to develop)Exposure to SCADA, HMI, and historian systems (e.g., GE Proficy iFix) is advantageousStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to conceptualise and deliver complex systemsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to engage across all levels of an organisationThis is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation offering strong career development, competitive benefits, and the chance to work on impactful engineering projects within a high-performing team.
