Land Surveyor/Instrument Person
Our office is looking to hire an experienced instrument person/rodman.
Duties to include, but not limited to:
· Check and load standard equipment
· Check supplies in truck
· Re-stock supplies, if/when necessary
· Load ice cooler
· Complete basic research in the mornings, which includes pulling the latest job
information for that day
· Drive company vehicle, working near construction equipment and machinery
· Set up survey equipment, accurately gather survey data
· Perform a closed loop traverse and reduce the data and run a trig level
· Perform COGO functions such as inverse, resection, stake a line, translate and rotate coordinates in the field
· Read a recorded subdivision plat or a metes and bounds legal description
· Run a map check and list the map error of closure using Carlson SurvCe
· Locate property corners using a pin finder, recorded deed or subdivision map
· Run line work
· Learn field codes specific to Avirom & Associates, Inc.
· Cutting line
· Calibrate a prism rod
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
