We get to witness radical life transformations.As an Intake Specialist your role is critical to our ministry as the first point of contact, and a gatekeeper to our services. You will quickly assess the needs of our clients and triage them to determine the best available services.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThis position requires an understanding of the entire scope of services provided by Atlanta Mission to determine our ability to meet our client’s immediate and long-term needs.Ensures a warm and engaging client experience by welcoming them to Atlanta Mission, and works to build rapportResponds to admission inquiries through various channels (walk-ins, phone, email)Performs initial screenings for admissions to determine our client's eligibility for internal or external servicesEnsures clients complete paperwork correctly and enters information into the client management databaseCollaborates and communicates with other teams to facilitate the intake and orientation process for new clientsPerforms new client orientation and explains types of services offered by Atlanta MissionAssigns beds to clients in the management databaseMeets clients’ needs by providing bed rolls, hygiene and clothing items, marta cards, etcServes as a tour guide of the campus for clientsAssists with crisis intervention management through the utilization of crisis intervention and de-escalation techniquesAssists with client check-in which may include carrying their personal belongingsAssists with the coordination of health checks and screening for communicable diseasesTransports clients to external resources that are not accessible via public transportationQualificationsYou will uphold the following Christ-Centered values:Humbly Serve: You strive to live, Love and Lead like JesusFaithfully Steward: You honor and wisely use the time, talent and treasures that God has providedCourageously Innovate: You are driven towards excellence, you continuously learn, adapt and improveJoyfully Celebrate: You intentionally appreciate and recognize all that God is doing in and through all the stakeholders of Atlanta Mission.Strength in Unity: You embrace God’s desire for oneness and kingdom-focused unity.Position RequirementsAbility to use objective and subjective measurements to assess and analyze client's needs Communication skills that will positively engage and work through disagreements with challenging clients Proficiency in prioritizing tasks, managing time effectively, and maintaining attention to detailAbility to understand and summarize key points from clinical documents including but not limited to medical reports, psychological evaluations, and psychiatric diagnoses Must be able to satisfy driving requirements to transport clientsPhysical RequirementsMust have the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing, walking or sitting)Must have the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlMust be able to frequently ascend/descend stairsMust have the ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, calculator and computer printerMust be able to lift up to 10lbsSPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have valid driver’s license, good MVR, and be older than 21 years old to drive company vehicles
