This role involves supervising children, leading age-appropriate activities, and ensuring each child feels welcomed, included, and cared for while participating in the scheduled activity or event.Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise children and ensure their safety and well-being at all timesLead fun, creative, and age-appropriate activities (games, crafts, sports, etc)Engage positively with children and encourage participationMaintain a clean, organized, and safe environmentFollow all child safeguarding policies and proceduresAssist with daily check-in/check-out procedures and attendance recordsCommunicate politely and professionally with parents/guardians and team membersObserve children’s behavior and report any concerns or incidents to the supervisorSupport special events, themed days, group activities and other family and children’s activitiesEncourage, recruit, register and schedule guests to participate in recreational activitiesPromote a fun and engaging atmosphere for guestsMaintain inventory of supplies, materials, and equipmentJob RequirementsExperience working with children in a group settingFriendly, patient, and enthusiastic personalityStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to manage groups of children and resolve minor conflictsBasic knowledge of child development and play-based learningFirst Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) and all additional assigned training coursesAbility to work outside all day and during extreme weatherEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in childcare, camps, schools, or recreational programs preferredEssential Job FunctionFlexible schedule, including weekends and holidaysActive role involving standing, playing, and supervising childrenWe are an equal opportunity employer and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
